Join us for a presentation and update on the state’s “Housing is Key” rental Assistance Program – Ask your questions to state officials regarding rental relief …

YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS WEBINAR: IMPORTANT WEBINAR ON STATE RENTAL RELIEF FUNDING AND THE STATUS OF THE STATE’S “HOUSING IS KEY” RENTAL RELIEF PROGRAM.  LEARN WHAT YOU MAY BE DOING WRONG AND WHY YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN PAID.

Up to $5.4 billion in Federal Government COVID-19 rental relief funding is being made available to pay landlords of certain low-income renters due to non-payment resulting from COVID-19 financial hardships.  The State of California has requested from the Federal Government another $1.9 billion of additional funding.  However, only approximately $2.0 billion has been paid out to landlords.  Where’s the rest of the money?  When can landlords expect their applications to be processed and ultimately paid?

Hear from officials from the California Housing and Community Development Agency who will be providing us with important updates on the state’s “Housing is Key” rental assistance program and learn what you need to do in order to get your application for relief paid and processed.

Planned, MUST HEAR topics during this webinar may include:

  • What is the latest status of the state’s rental assistance program? Can you still apply – is it too late?
  • Common mistakes owners and renters make when applying for funds. What seems to be the holdup?
  • What is the amount of available funding statewide and for my area? Will the state be able to get more funding?  Will the period rental relief funding currently covers be extended beyond 18-months?
  • How do my renters qualify for rental relief funding? What are my obligations to notify renters of available funding and to assist with their applications?
  • Where and how can YOU apply for available funding? What is your tenant’s responsibility for applying for rental relief?
  • What is the paperwork requirements when applying? Landlord paperwork?  Tenant paperwork?
  • Who needs to apply to receive relief? What is my tenants do not apply?
  • Process for applying and approval timing? When should you anticipate getting paid?
  • What about those local ordinances? How do I know if I apply for state or local funding?  Can I apply for both?  Which website must I use to apply?
  • When will funding be exhausted? When will the program end?
  • And much, much more – YOUR questions may be submitted prior to and during the webinar will drive the discussion. (Note: we anticipate a huge volume of questions for this webinar, and we may not be able to get to all questions asked by attendees.)

This informative webinar will also address any questions that are submitted by you! After registering, you will have the opportunity to submit questions. Live Q&A will also be available during the webinar and we will do our best to consolidate and identify those questions that will benefit all attendees. This is another of many exclusive Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles webinars being conducted in conjunction with all affiliates of the California Rental Housing Association (CalRHA) being provided to assist YOU during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis.
